Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist

An experienced machine learning engineer or data scientist is sought to take ownership of supervised models already in production in a government setting. The role involves assessing, operating, and governing existing models that support operational decision-making, with a focus on understanding their construction, evaluating their monitoring and governance, and ensuring safe transition from current suppliers. The position requires supporting models built by others, making evidence-based judgments, and adhering to governance and operational standards. Candidates should have experience with model monitoring, drift detection, and model revalidation, alongside strong Python skills and practical support for production models. Experience with Azure Machine Learning, Databricks, and public sector environments is preferable, with an emphasis on risk awareness and transparency in model management.
