Senior Civil Engineer

Under the direction of the Village Engineer, the Senior Civil Engineer leads municipal infrastructure planning, design, and construction oversight for critical projects including development, roadways, stormwater, and water distribution.
Prepare and professionally review development plans to ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations; coordinate project stages and prepare plans and specifications.
Oversee budget allocations, cost estimates, and the letting process for purchases and services, and manage grant acquisitions.
Provide technical leadership and supervise the Civil Engineer and Inspection staff, guiding daily engineering activities and ensuring quality control.
Qualifications include a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering (Masters preferred), an Illinois PE license, 5+ years of municipal experience with at least 1 year in supervision, and a valid Illinois driver's license; a CFM is a plus.
