Machine Learning Engineer - Perception (Internship)

This internship focuses on perception for autonomous driving through scalable self-supervised learning, representation learning, and evaluation.
You will implement large-scale self-supervised methods (contrastive, masked modeling, video prediction, multi-view pre-training) for perception models.
You will analyze model scaling laws (data, parameters, compute) and enable efficient training at scale with distributed setups and mixed precision.
You will explore world models (latent dynamics, spatio-temporal modeling, transformer-based video models, 3D scene representations).
You will build cloud workflows connecting ML models with data curation and evaluation pipelines, staying current with CV/ML advances.
The 3-month on-site internship in Tokyo (Nihonbashi) offers on-site hours, visa/housing support for international students, and the potential for a return offer.
