Procurement Specialist – Energy

A procurement specialist with expertise in energy and utilities is sought in Hartlepool to develop sourcing strategies across electricity, gas, and emissions allowances. They will lead energy procurement activities including fixed and variable pricing models and monitor market trends and regulations. Building and managing relationships with energy suppliers and intermediaries forms a key part of the role, alongside supporting budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis processes. The candidate is expected to have strong analytical skills, good negotiation experience in volatile markets, and a background in energy-intensive sectors like manufacturing. Experience with renewable energy projects and relevant certifications such as CCL or NCC are beneficial.
