Pre-Construction Manager / Senior M&E & Renewables Estimator

The position involves leading the preparation of detailed mechanical and electrical estimates for projects valued between £500,000 and £4 million, reviewing tender documentation, developing cost plans, and producing tender submissions. It requires managing subcontractor quotations, evaluating proposals, negotiating prices, and maximising commercial opportunities while ensuring quality and adherence to programme requirements. The role supports project handovers and mobilisation, providing commercial guidance and maintaining records for future tenders. Collaborating with bid, commercial, and operational teams, the role also involves contributing to technical bid submissions, value engineering, and risk assessments. Additionally, the position includes testing new AI-powered estimating systems, developing standardised pricing, and improving digital workflows, directly influencing the evolution of estimating tools.
