Senior Software Engineer, Machine Learning, Calibration

This role sits on the Sensor Data and Calibration team, focusing on developing online and offline unstructured (targetless) sensor calibration algorithms. You will research and implement state-of-the-art calibration methods that blend classic robotics techniques (e.g., non-linear least-squares optimization, Lie algebra) with modern ML. You will analyze the accuracy and performance of state estimation and calibration, and characterize onboard resource usage. You will integrate calibration pipelines into the autonomy stack and collaborate cross-functionally to accelerate ML training and end-to-end evaluation. You will help answer critical questions about sensor data and autonomy performance and contribute to ML pipelines and deployment-ready models. Strong Python expertise with experience in PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Jax is required, with advanced degrees or equivalent industry experience.
