The Systems Safety and Environmental Engineer ensures the design and delivery of products that meet international safety standards and are safe for end users. The role involves planning safety activities, conducting hazard analysis, and establishing safety and environmental requirements throughout product lifecycle. The engineer will provide technical direction to design teams to implement safety and environmental measures and develop safety cases and hazard analysis reports. Extensive knowledge of safety standards, risk evaluation, and environmental impact analysis is essential, along with technical skills in systems engineering and safety case development. Experience within safety engineering environments, preferably in aerospace or defence, is required, alongside relevant qualifications such as a degree in science or engineering.
