Staff Machine Learning Engineer, Simulation

Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company that develops the Waymo Driver for improved mobility and safety. The Simulator team builds realistic environment simulations for testing and training autonomous vehicles, employing machine learning models for realistic agent and environment behaviour. The role involves collaborating with teams in Oxford and London to improve simulation realism through large models and innovative techniques. Candidates will design experiments, develop metrics, train and evaluate models, and integrate solutions into simulation platforms. The position requires expertise in deep learning, coding, solving complex ML problems, and applying research to production environments. Reporting to an Engineering Director, successful applicants will contribute to cutting-edge autonomous vehicle technology development.
