The financial analyst supports the enhancement of finance processes by leveraging strong finance knowledge, analytical skills, and process expertise in a regulated environment. They are responsible for identifying inefficiencies and implementing practical, sustainable improvements with technological enablers such as AI tools. The role involves developing reporting tools, maintaining dashboards, testing and embedding automation solutions, and promoting their adoption through training and guidance. They also represent the finance function in cross-departmental initiatives, ensuring finance requirements are met while fostering innovation. Critical skills include finance process understanding, technical expertise with SQL, Power Query, or Python, and stakeholder management. A relevant degree or equivalent experience in finance, with a focus on process improvement initiatives, is expected.
