A DevOps Engineer in Cardiff will work with engineering teams to design and implement services, build and enhance infrastructure, and analyse service metrics to optimise system performance. The role involves responding to incidents, ensuring software security, and researching new technological approaches. Candidates should have at least two years of experience in DevOps, with skills in containerised services, infrastructure as code, and monitoring tools. The position requires strong communication skills and an interest in designing user-friendly web services, with familiarity in cloud environments and CI/CD processes. Knowledge of GIS technologies and additional programming skills in JavaScript or Rust are advantageous.
