Junior Photonics Process Engineer

Finchetto is engaged in advancing integrated photonics for networking and high-performance computing at Cardiff University. The role involves supporting the development of cleanroom nanofabrication processes and operating advanced equipment such as e-Beam lithography and ICP-reactive ion etching. The candidate will work closely with the R&D team on designing and characterising optical nanostructures on Thin Film Lithium Niobate wafers, alongside assisting with process recipes and testing. Hands-on experience in a lab setting with optical testing capabilities is essential, alongside familiarity with photonics materials and safety protocols. The position offers opportunities to develop expertise in state-of-the-art photonics manufacturing and contribute to innovative network solutions.
