Lead research, development, and sourcing of fabrics, yarns, finishes, and raw materials for home textiles.
Analyze trend reports and curate global textile innovations to inform seasonal collections and cost targets.
Co-develop new materials with mills, optimize costs, and validate performance standards such as colorfastness, pilling, tensile strength, and flammability.
Partner with sustainability and compliance teams to identify eco-friendly solutions and ensure regulatory and retailer requirements.
Build and manage supplier relationships, evaluate capabilities, negotiate lead times, MOQs, and development costs.
Establish a material library, standardize testing/approval processes, and deliver training and trend briefings to design and sourcing teams.
