Mechanical Design Engineer

A Mechanical Design Engineer is sought to work on designing bespoke components for water authority equipment. The role involves measuring existing parts, producing designs with SolidWorks, and creating plans for laser cutting and folding. The engineer will liaise with suppliers and the shopfloor throughout the design and manufacturing processes while reviewing quotes and ensuring product practicality. Candidates should have experience in mechanical component design, be proficient in SolidWorks, and confidently collaborate with suppliers and teams. AutoCAD skills and an HNC qualification are advantageous but not essential. The position offers a standard working week on a Monday to Friday basis, with potential for early finishes on Fridays.
