The role
An In-House Counsel based in Glasgow provides legal support to a global technology company, specialising in commercial contracts, compliance, and regulatory matters across the EMEA region. The role involves drafting, negotiating, and managing complex commercial agreements, including tenders, supply arrangements, and joint ventures, with a focus on public sector contracts such as NHS tenders. The successful candidate will advise on disputes, claims, and legal risks, whilst supporting process improvement initiatives involving technological solutions like AI. They will collaborate with various internal teams to interpret and manage legal risks and ensure legal compliance across regions. Additionally, the Counsel will develop and deliver legal training, promote standardised practices, and contribute to maintaining a strong ethical culture within the organisation. They will report to the Regional EMEA North Legal Lead and work closely with other legal and business units to facilitate sound commercial decisions and mitigate legal risks.
