The role
A Senior Machine Learning & AI Engineer in Manchester develops and maintains AI and machine learning applications using Python, cloud platforms, APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring tools. The role involves delivering scalable, secure solutions, collaborating with data scientists and business stakeholders to take models from experimentation to production. Candidates must have over five years' experience in full software development lifecycle, with advanced software engineering skills including automated testing and deployment. They should demonstrate strong Python knowledge and experience with cloud services like Vertex AI or BigQuery, alongside MLOps frameworks such as Kubeflow Pipelines. Additional exposure to Generative AI, Large Language Models, and enterprise system integration is desirable. Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams ensures the deployment of compliant and efficient solutions in regulated financial environments.
