A Senior Cyber Operations Analyst is required to join a high-performing security team in Bristol, focusing on threat detection, incident response, and security monitoring. The role involves developing and optimising detection content, mainly within Splunk SIEM, to identify cyber threats across various environments. The candidate will collaborate with multiple security functions to improve logging and detection coverage, support incident investigations, and mentor junior analysts. Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or C/C++ are essential for automating detection workflows, along with experience in threat intelligence and network security. The position demands a solid understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, including cryptography and forensics, and familiarity with analysing Windows and Linux environments. The role operates on a hybrid working model with core hours from 9:00 to 17:30.
