The role
A physiotherapist provides assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients with musculoskeletal, neurological, respiratory, orthopaedic, or post-surgical conditions. They develop individualised treatment plans, utilise therapeutic techniques, and promote recovery through patient education. The role involves working closely with multidisciplinary teams, participating in meetings and discharge planning, and managing caseloads across inpatient and outpatient settings. Candidates must hold a relevant qualification, be HCPC registered, and be members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy. Excellent communication, teamwork, organisational, and clinical reasoning skills are essential, enabling effective delivery of evidence-based care.
