The role
A plumber heating maintenance engineer is responsible for diagnosing and repairing faults on hot water cylinders and related components, conducting planned maintenance, warranty repairs, and product upgrades. They must ensure all work complies with industry standards and manufacturer specifications, accurately complete service reports and warranty documentation, and adhere to G3 regulations and compliance requirements. The role involves providing clear explanations of system operation and maintenance to customers, maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach, and sharing field feedback for product development. It also requires attending training sessions to keep technical knowledge up to date. Candidates should have experience with hot water systems, fault-finding skills, and a full UK driving licence. Preferred qualifications include G3 unvented water certification and electrical competency.
