The role
The MEP Estimator assesses technical designs and prepares accurate cost estimates for mechanical, electrical and public health services in construction projects. They review drawings, specifications and equipment schedules, developing detailed estimates and cost plans. The role involves managing supply chain enquiries and comparing quotations to ensure best value and technical compliance. Coordination with design and engineering teams is essential to identify risks and design coordination issues that could impact costs or schedules. Candidates should have experience in estimating and reviewing MEP systems, and familiarity with testing, commissioning and project handover processes. Technical understanding of systems, strong analytical skills and proficiency with estimating software are required for success in this role.
