The role
The Food Safety Auditor conducts inspections of food manufacturing, distribution and packaging facilities, providing technical training to management and staff on safety programmes, pest control, operational practices and personnel procedures. They communicate compliance levels to facility management and prepare detailed follow-up reports with observations and recommendations. Candidates should have a food science or related degree and a strong track record in food safety or auditing, with the ability to travel extensively across Belgium, France and the Netherlands. Knowledge of retailer and third-party standards such as BRC is essential, with industry recognised qualifications like Lead Auditor being advantageous. Fluency in English and French is required, with additional Dutch language skills a plus, and a full driving licence is mandatory. This regionally based role offers an annual salary of £45,000 to £50,000, a car allowance, pension, and various health and wellness benefits.
