The role
Lead complex accounting transactions under GAAP and STAT, translating regulatory requirements into actionable financial actions for P&C reinsurance operations.
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial results for internal and external stakeholders.
Provide financial accounting advisory to operational leaders, collaborating with partners to drive accurate reporting and informed decision making.
Lead special projects, improve processes, and maintain robust internal controls to ensure efficient and compliant financial systems.
Mentor team members, review work for accuracy, and coach on issues as they arise while promoting cross-functional teamwork.
Requirements: Bachelor's in Accounting/Finance (or CPA) with 6+ years of related experience; advanced Excel/Word skills; exposure to statutory reporting and Schedule F.
