Release of Information Medical Records Representative PRN
Performs clerical duties for Release of Information and Research & Review on a PRN schedule, handling confidential health information with strict privacy guidelines. Ensures complete and timely provision of health information to authorized parties, supporting the Health Information Services team. Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations and accrediting bodies, including HIPAA and the Joint Commission, while upholding guest relations policies. Education: High school diploma or equivalent; preferred coursework in health information management; two years general office experience; one year Release of Information experience preferred; one year in a Health Information Department may substitute. Skills: proficient with computers, printers, copiers, fax machines; typing 60 WPM; Windows-driven applications; knowledge of medical terminology. Work environment: primarily desk-based with occasional standing/walking; ability to lift/push/pull up to 20 lbs; shifts may vary and include weekends/holidays as needed.
