The role
An estimator specialising in FF&E, joinery and carpentry packages is responsible for preparing detailed cost assessments based on drawings, specifications, and project information. They would carry out material and quantity take-offs, develop bills of quantities, and price various interior elements including furniture, fixtures, joinery, and related work. The role involves reviewing technical documentation, liaising with internal teams, sourcing quotations, evaluating supplier options, and negotiating best value while maintaining quality standards. The estimator also supports tender submissions, project handovers, and process improvements to enhance efficiency. Strong technical knowledge, organisational skills, and excellent communication are essential for success in this role.
