The role
Responsible for conceptual designs and execution plans for substation projects, ranging from small distribution upgrades to large transmission programs.
Develop physical yard layouts, plans, sections, grounding schemes, lightning protection, control building arrangements, and associated AC/DC power systems with BOMs.
Lead protection and control design activities, including panel arrangements, one-line and three-line diagrams, and relay wiring.
Perform studies and calculations (grounding, lightning protection, AC/DC loads) and prepare equipment specifications for procurement or factory acceptance testing.
Coordinate design efforts with Civil/Structural, Networks, and Transmission teams; contribute to process and tool improvements.
Provide short-term field support during construction and engage in client communications and technical committee involvement as needed.
