Controls Engineer
This role specializes in early-design for portable touring systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to set projects up for success from bidding and concept stages. Identifies architecture and key control components to meet project needs and understands how mechanical, controls, and artistic disciplines interact. Contributes to hazard analyses and risk assessments, and works with Technical Directors to create initial axis lists. Prepares preliminary risers for tours and guides asset selection to optimize functionality and safety within asset fleet constraints. Ensures smooth handover to Integration and Crew teams, participates in design reviews, and captures feedback from stakeholders. Supports business development to identify and close project work in the UK/EU market, with travel expected at 20-40%.
