The role

The Legal Counsel serves as the primary in-house adviser for logistics, transportation, and supply chain operations across the United States.
You will draft, review, negotiate, and manage customer transportation and warehousing agreements, freight forwarding terms, carrier contracts, and 3PL/4PL arrangements.
You will ensure regulatory compliance with FMCSA, DOT, CBP, EAR, OFAC, OSHA, customs, and cross-border requirements, and monitor regulatory changes.
You will manage cargo claims, coordinate with insurers, advise on risk mitigation, and oversee disputes with outside counsel as needed.
You will support corporate governance, data privacy, and cybersecurity matters, and assist with M&A, asset purchases, and strategic partnerships as needed.
You will partner with Operations, Sales, Finance, and Supply Chain to deliver practical, business-focused legal advice and train stakeholders on relevant topics.
