The role
A Consultant Psychiatrist specialising in intellectual disability is sought for a full-time position within Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust in Darwen. The role involves assessment and treatment of patients with learning disabilities and mental health challenges, working across community teams in Pennine Lancashire. The post requires providing expert advice, supervision, and consultancy to multidisciplinary teams, including non-medical prescribing colleagues. Applicants must hold full GMC registration, be on the Specialist register, and have or be eligible for Approved Clinician Status. There is no on-call duty associated with this role, which offers the opportunity to work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment with a focus on community mental health services.
