The role
A Trade Compliance Officer is responsible for managing export documentation and ensuring adherence to UK and international export regulations including UKML, Dual-Use, USML, EAR, and ECCN. They serve as the point of contact for trade compliance queries and handle UK export licensing applications such as OGELs, OIELs, and SIELs. They monitor regulatory updates for sanctioned countries and collaborate with UK authorities like HMRC, BIS, and ECJU on licensing matters. The role involves managing internal and external stakeholders including MOD F680 and export teams while maintaining internal procedures for import and export compliance, including ITAR and EAR. The successful candidate will demonstrate experience interpreting legal documents, knowledge of export regulations, and sector-specific compliance exposure. This role requires onsite presence most of the week and eligibility for SC clearance.
