The role
The programme offers a two-year pathway into the game industry, combining structured training with paid employment. During the first year, participants undertake a full-time pre-apprenticeship course focused on game creation and Unity skills, contributing to live projects and developing a portfolio. Progressing into the second year, apprentices work remotely on MMO game titles using Unity and Blender, with opportunities for team collaboration and professional development. The role involves building in-game assets, working with game development tools, and working towards certification as a game artist or developer. The apprenticeship offers a guaranteed position for 12 months and culminates in a recognised industry qualification with potential for further employment. Candidates should be UK residents with a keen interest and a portfolio demonstrating relevant skills, though prior experience is not mandatory.
