The role
Serve as senior regulatory counsel in proceedings before state public utilities commissions where the business operates.
Build and sustain relationships with regulators, legislators, and industry peers to advocate for fair and competitive energy markets.
Maintain compliance with applicable rules and regulations; draft mass-market sales contracts and conduct legal research on compliance issues.
Evaluate and advocate for energy-related legislation; coordinate with internal teams to develop positions and effective advocacy.
Manage regulatory research and filings, analyze complex rule sets, and summarize findings for cross-functional audiences.
Support cross-sector energy initiatives (electric, natural gas, solar, renewables) and lead ad hoc projects in a fast-paced environment.
