The role
The Principal AI Engineer is responsible for leading the technical strategy, design, and implementation of advanced AI and ML solutions within a legal or professional services setting. The role involves managing and motivating a team of IT professionals, collaborating with stakeholders to align AI use cases with business outcomes, and ensuring the delivery of scalable AI architectures. The engineer will oversee the full lifecycle of AI solutions including model development, validation, and deployment, whilst driving continuous improvement initiatives. Strong expertise in machine learning, programming, cloud platforms, and AI frameworks is essential, along with project management and leadership skills. The position requires excellent stakeholder engagement, business insight, and the ability to foster collaborative relationships across teams.
