The role
An Information Security Analyst is responsible for safeguarding critical infrastructure, networks, systems, and data from cyber threats. They monitor security platforms to detect suspicious activity, investigate incidents, and manage vulnerability assessments. Developing and implementing security controls, managing identity and access management, and researching emerging threats are key duties. The role requires technical knowledge of security frameworks, network security, and incident response, alongside strong analytical skills. Candidates should have experience with vulnerability tools, IDS, SIEM, and understand standards like ISO 27001 and NIST. The position offers hybrid work with occasional travel, requiring SC clearance eligibility and aims to strengthen cyber resilience across NHS services.
