The role
The Mechanical Engineer inspects, diagnoses, maintains, repairs, and overhauls pumping equipment used in dewatering operations. They work both in depots and on customer sites, ensuring equipment safety, reliability, and operational performance. The role requires practical skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and adherence to high standards of workmanship and customer service. Responsibilities include fault diagnosis, maintenance, electrical equipment support, and documentation, with emphasis on safety and quality standards. The engineer needs experience with mechanical fault finding, equipment servicing, and some electrical competencies, along with strong communication skills. They should be adaptable, safety-conscious, and capable of working in varied environments, including with occasional overtime.
