The role
A qualified nurse or paramedic with at least two years' post-qualification experience in a clinical environment such as A&E, general practice, or ambulance services may consider this role within the criminal justice setting. Candidates must possess excellent clinical skills, the ability to work calmly under pressure, and a full UK driving licence. The position involves working in custody suites with police, providing healthcare services to detainees and contributing to detainee safety as part of a 24/7 rota. Working across designated regional police areas, staff will adhere to a fixed shift pattern, including days and nights, with flexible rotations planned two years ahead. The role demands registration with NMC or HCPC, and security vetting. This opportunity enables nurses and paramedics to utilise their skills in a unique environment, supporting society's vulnerable individuals.
