The role
A senior cloud engineer is responsible for managing and developing scalable Azure cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and automation. The role involves designing and maintaining cloud architecture, optimising CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and managing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform or Bicep. The engineer will drive containerisation initiatives with Docker and Kubernetes, enhance system observability, and implement security best practices aligned with DevSecOps principles. Collaboration with cross-functional teams including engineering, security, and product management is essential to meet scalability and reliability targets. Strong technical skills in cloud automation, security, monitoring tools, and scripting are required to succeed in this position.
