The role
The Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities within UK defence and government sectors, working closely with technical and senior teams to form winning strategies. The role involves managing a portfolio of strategic opportunities, building relationships with senior stakeholders, and navigating complex procurement environments. Candidates need experience in defence, aerospace, or related markets, and the ability to develop and manage pipelines from initial engagement to contract completion. Technical understanding of defence hardware and procurement processes is essential, with an emphasis on strategic growth and market shaping. The position requires excellent stakeholder management skills, commercial judgement, and an entrepreneurial mindset, with occasional travel involved. The role offers an attractive salary package up to £90,000 and hybrid working options, supporting ongoing professional development.
