The role
Verallia UK seeks a proactive Electrical Engineer to join its Engineering Department in Knottingley, providing on-call support to address equipment faults and reduce downtime. The role involves working within a dedicated rota to ensure 24/7 machinery availability. Candidates must be fully apprentice trained or have equivalent qualifications, with strong organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Experience in the glass manufacturing or continuous process industry is advantageous but not essential. Expected to update skills and contribute within a sustainable, innovative industry sector, with opportunities for career progression. The position offers additional pay for call-outs, overtime, and benefits such as pension schemes and holiday entitlement.
