The role
Manchester City Council is seeking a Level 2 Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist who will undertake functional assessments for children with physical or hidden disabilities across the city. The post involves working directly with children and their families, collaborating with internal and external teams to meet individual needs, and producing detailed reports for adaptations and equipment. The role requires skills in assessing postural support, bespoke equipment, and home safety, as well as conducting risk assessments and providing training for carers. Candidates must hold a relevant degree, registration with HCPC, a full valid driving licence, and undergo a DBS check. They will contribute to multidisciplinary teams, support less experienced colleagues, and work flexibly to serve Manchester’s diverse community.
