The role
This internship focuses on experimenting with novel AI-enabled, sensor-guided manipulation capabilities for industrial robots.
You will work with researchers and engineers to develop features and run experiments for machine learning approaches to robot manipulation.
You will apply skills in Python (PyTorch/JAX) and contribute to areas such as reinforcement learning, sim-to-real transfer, imitation learning, and foundation models.
You will help extend manipulation capabilities, improve learning-based control, and evaluate prototypical approaches on industrial manufacturing scenarios.
You will collaborate with teams across three continents to bring solutions to real-world manufacturing use cases.
You should be a PhD or master's student with robotics lab experience and enthusiasm for working with robot hardware and motion control.
