The role

A Power Systems Engineer is responsible for designing electrical distribution networks from LV to 132kV and conducting network modelling, simulation, and protection studies. They work on embedded generation, substations, fault level analysis, and liaising with DNOs for connection upgrades. The role involves preparing technical reports, site surveys, and providing specialist power systems advice to engineering teams. Candidates should have a degree in Power Systems or Electrical Engineering and experience with power distribution design and relevant software tools. Strong communication skills and knowledge of embedded generation and G99 procedures are highly desirable. This position offers exposure to challenging projects within a reputable construction consultancy that specialises in building services and low carbon engineering.
