The role
The physiotherapist conducts professional assessments and treatment programmes in outpatient settings, primarily serving patients with neurological, transplant, amputee, burns, trauma, complex care, oncology, or musculoskeletal issues. They evaluate patient needs through subjective and objective assessments and develop tailored treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to meet individual rehabilitation goals. Managing a caseload, they document patient progress meticulously and communicate effectively within the healthcare team. They educate patients and their families to support ongoing recovery and participate in clinical teaching and supervision of students and volunteers. The role requires adherence to safety standards and legislation, with a focus on safe work practices, safety issue reporting, and participating in safety training and meetings.
