The role
A contract Backend Developer is sought to join a mature Azure platform team in Derby, working predominantly remotely with occasional travel. The role involves building, supporting, and enhancing backend services on a live digital platform using technologies such as C /.NET, Azure Functions, Azure API Management, Azure SQL, Service Bus, and Azure DevOps. The candidate will contribute across the entire project lifecycle, from requirement analysis to deployment and operational support, in an environment led by Microsoft and Azure. This position demands autonomy, technical expertise, and the ability to deliver high-quality code with minimal supervision. Strong communication skills and experience working within Agile Scrum frameworks are essential for success in this role.
