The role
A support worker is needed to assist a bright 11-year-old boy with cerebral palsy in his fully adapted home in Derby. The role involves delivering personalised care, including personal hygiene, feeding, bathing, toileting, and supporting learning and development activities. The position offers flexible rota shifts, including weekdays, weekends, and temporary maternity cover, with training provided by specialists. Applicants must be reliable, team-oriented, and hold a full manual driving licence as driving an adapted vehicle is required. Experience in complex care and rehabilitation is preferred, and only female candidates are invited due to the nature of personal care duties. The role is part-time, permanent, and involves working in the client's home, subject to references and DBS checks.
