The role
The role involves designing and developing robust backend systems using Node.js with an emphasis on scalability and performance. Responsibilities include writing efficient SQL queries, optimising PostgreSQL databases, and creating maintainable RESTful APIs. Collaboration with DevOps, frontend, and data teams ensures seamless platform integration while maintaining well-documented and reliable code. Candidates should have solid commercial experience in backend development with Node.js and strong skills in PostgreSQL and optionally MongoDB. Familiarity with Git workflows and best coding practices is important. Experience in a start-up or scale-up environment and a proactive, collaborative attitude are highly valued.
