The role
A business development manager is responsible for managing and expanding key accounts within the building materials sector in Yorkshire. The role involves developing new business opportunities with SME builders and national house builders, as well as upselling a diverse range of products. The candidate is expected to build long-lasting relationships through face-to-face visits and stay informed about industry trends and competitors. Accurate CRM updates and reporting to senior management are essential components of the role. Collaboration with multiple branches to support customer needs is also required. The ideal applicant will have experience in sales within builders merchants or construction products, strong relationship-building skills, and the confidence to manage a busy regional territory.
