The role
An IT procurement specialist is responsible for developing IT category strategies, managing key supplier relationships, and delivering cost efficiencies within a global financial services organisation. The role involves creating and executing sourcing projects, engaging senior stakeholders, and monitoring supplier performance through reporting tools. Candidates should possess deep technical category experience, particularly in technology, and experience managing complex global projects with Tier 1 suppliers. Strong communication skills across cultures and regions are essential, alongside a strategic mindset and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications such as MCIPS are advantageous but not mandatory, requiring at least five years of relevant experience.
