The role
Plan and optimise driver and vehicle resources to meet delivery and collection times while maximizing efficiency and complying with drivers' hours legislation.
Create and update daily run summaries to ensure on-time deliveries and communicate load details, directions, and shifts to drivers.
Maintain service levels by coordinating with multiple departments and planning around holidays and sickness using the driver rota.
Ensure legal compliance for defects, MOTs, tachograph rules, and current Road Transport Directive requirements, plus health and safety policies.
Foster clear, proactive communication with drivers and support operational governance including disciplinary processes and return-to-work procedures when needed.
Work on a 4 on/4 off, 6pm-6am shift, contributing to a culture focused on timely delivery, safety, and continuous improvement.
