The role
Design and optimize storm drainage systems, open-channel and closed-conduit hydraulics, and surface hydrology solutions for land development and public infrastructure.
Perform rainfall-runoff analyses and 1D/2D hydraulic modeling using HEC-HMS and HEC-RAS.
Prepare technical reports, calculations, and documentation for clients and agencies, and assist with master drainage plans and flood studies.
Coordinate with senior engineers to translate regulatory requirements and rainfall data into buildable drainage designs.
Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D, MS Word, and Excel; exposure to SWMM, XPStorm, Innovyze, or WaterCAD is a plus.
Requires 3-7 years of California-focused hydrology/hydraulics experience and an active California PE license.
