The role
Oversee and optimize transportation operations at a designated site, ensuring safe and efficient donor pickup and retail delivery routes.
Lead and develop a team of drivers, dispatchers, and warehouse staff through hiring, onboarding, training, and performance evaluations.
Plan routes, monitor on-road performance, troubleshoot challenges, and manage fleet maintenance to maximize productivity and cost efficiency.
Enforce safety protocols, conduct regular inspections, and ensure regulatory compliance across all transportation activities.
Coordinate pickup and delivery schedules, collaborate with internal teams, and represent the organization to donors and the public.
Adapt to changing routes, operate a box truck when needed, and participate in ongoing training to stay current with policies and practices.
