The role
A civil engineering professional is sought to join a Birmingham-based team supporting the design and execution of projects across various sectors including residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments. The role involves producing civil designs, drawings, and calculations for drainage, highways, and earthworks, along with preparing technical reports and supporting planning submissions. Proficiency in industry-standard software such as Civil 3D, MicroDrainage, and AutoCAD is required. Coordination with clients, contractors, and local authorities is essential, as is ensuring project standards are met within deadlines. The position requires a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with experience in a consultancy environment and knowledge of UK standards. A proactive approach and communication skills are important, and progression towards professional accreditation is desirable.
